According to Bethany Moore, Communications and Projects Manager for the National Cannabis Industry Association, these are some of the exciting project being initiated by the NCIA:
EVENTS
NCIA’s Q3 Quarterly Cannabis Caucus events are kicking off next week in 12 cities across the country. These events are great opportunities for professionals in the cannabis industry – or people looking to get into the industry – to connect, build their networks, and learn what’s happening at the state and federal level with marijuana policy.
These are are FREE for NCIA members to attend, while non-members can attend for a $50 fee.
We’d be happy to have you cover them or simply share information about them. We hope to see you there!

Seed To Sale Show: We’re fresh off the heels of our wildly successful 3rd Annual Cannabis Business Summit and Expo held in Oakland last month, and we’re already looking forward to next year’s Summit, as well as a newly announced ‘Seed To Sale Show’, where the nation’s leading cultivators, dispensary operators, extraction artists, and infused product manufacturers will convene in Denver to discuss best practices, present case studies, and more. The show will be held on January 31 – February 1, 2017 at the Colorado Convention Center.

NEWS
We’ve recently rolled out several new tools, resources, and member benefits on our website.
Marijuana Map:
The interactive State-by-State Marijuana Policies Map This free resource, now available on NCIA’s website, will enable NCIA members and people interested in joining the cannabis industry to stay up-to-date with each state’s cannabis regulations and market size estimates. The map’s information includes medical and adult-use laws, as well as the number of licenses for cannabis cultivations, dispensaries, manufacturers, and testing labs allowed and issued in the state, fee structures for applications and licenses, residency requirements, and qualifying medical conditions for patients. The map also includes current medical and adult-use sales estimates, as well as projected sales for the year 2020. The map is powered by NCIA members CannaRegs and New Frontier.

Expert Calling Network:
NCIA members can now share their knowledge with information-seekers through our Cannabis Expert Calling Network (ECN) via online or paid telephone consultations. Many of us can relate to being constantly asked if one’s brain can be “picked” for information, and this platform provides that opportunity in a simple structure that is a win-win for both the advisor and advice-seeker.
