There is a growing body of research supporting cannabis for medical purposes. Studies and anecdotal evidence suggest cannabis can be used for various medical conditions. Our program will have in-depth discussions on the human Endocannabinoid System (endocannabinoid molecules, cannabinoid receptors, and enzymes) and cannabis (phytocannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids) resulting in widespread modern medicinal uses of cannabis indica and industrial applications of cannabis sativa (hemp). Reviews and evidence supporting the use of cannabis to not only treat disease, but to prevent disease and maintain health. Presentations will include Integrative Approaches to Optimizing the Endocannabinoid System (ECS), in aging populations, Pediatrics, Heart Disease, Cancer, PTSD, Diabetes, Alzheimer’s, Chronic Pain, and Mental Illness.
Our program will address Opioids in medical practice, and will cover a range of issues, including opioid addiction and alternative medicines, particularly to primary care providers that maintain and monitor patients on chronic opioid therapy.
Thought provoking speakers will present their research in an ever growing medical cannabis economy.
