“What about Weed? The Cannabis Controversy: Past, Present, and Future” will be presented on Tuesday March 24, 2020; 7:30pm-9:00pm, by Dr. Stephen Strobbe, PhD, RN, PMHCNS-BC, CARN-AP, FIAAN, FAAN; Clinical Professor, University of Michigan School of Nursing and the Department of Psychiatry. Cannabis has a long and complex history in the United States. In this program, we will examine this fascinating phenomenon and its implications, past, present, and future. This program is part of the Dawn Farm Education Series, a FREE, annual education series developed to provide accurate, helpful, hopeful, practical, current information about substance use disorders, recovery, family and related issues; and to dispel the myths, misinformation, secrecy, shame and stigma that prevent people with addiction and their families from getting help and getting well. All programs are free and open to anyone interested. Registration is not required. 1.5 hours of free C.E. approved by MCBAP (Michigan Certification Board for Addiction Professionals) is provided. A certificate to document attendance is provided on request. The Education Series is organized by Dawn Farm, a non-profit community of programs providing a continuum of services for people with substance use disorders. For information, please contact Dawn Farm at 734-485-8725 or firstname.lastname@example.org, or see http://www.dawnfarmeducation.org.
CannaCon Midwest 2019 in Detroit was a massive success! Thank you to all business owners, politicians, scientists, news anchors, influencers, farmers, cultivators, nutritionists, manufacturers, and countless others who joined us in Detroit to unlock the potential of the emerging marijuana marketplace in the Great Lakes region.
With historic brick buildings in stark contrast to modern skyscrapers and automobile factories adjacent to tech companies, new industries emerge from the wreckage of former financial ruin in the Motor City. Just as 19th century palatial homes belie the prosperity of the past and foretell that of the future, a wealth of opportunities await Michigan—one of the largest cannabis marketplaces in the United States.
We are proud to have provided Detroit’s first landmark cannabis business expo in 2018, and we look forward to hosting more successful events in the near future.
420 Cannabis and Hemp Expo is the Nation’s premier event for everything cannabis and hemp. Stimulating and comprehensive presentations that are up to minute on health, science, horticulture, business growth, and complex laws are designed to attract the largest gathering of attendees, cannabis companies and service providers found anywhere in Michigan.
